Vacation Plans? What Brow Clients Need to Know.
Are you jetting off on vacation soon? Timing your permanent makeup appointment is key to achieving flawless, long-lasting brows. If you plan to travel, especially to sunny or humid destinations, proper healing is essential to protect your investment.
The full powder brows healing cycle is 6-8 weeks (upon completion of your service, you will get the after-care instructions from me). In my experience with powder brows, the first 4 weeks of the healing process are crucial. This timeframe is when the ink sets into the skin. The outer layer of skin will begin to dry, crust, and flake off. It is very important to not let your brows get wet outside of the washing instructions.
The following weeks will allow your skin to regenerate and the true color of your brows will finally bloom. The healed results should be the softest tint looking tattoo that lasts 3-4 years without needing a refresh in color or saturation (with the proper care and maintenance). If you’re thinking about getting your brow procedure completed in the Twin Cities, plan your vacation around this healing window for optimal results.
